My Name Is Memory by Ann Brashares

If you’re looking for a book that will take you on a romantic voyage through time, then you will love My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares.

Ann Brashares has written other hits like The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, but this is the very first book I’ve ever read of hers. The story is about Lucy and Daniel, two people who have tried to find love over many, many lifetimes. Unfortunately for Daniel, Lucy isn’t able to remember their love like he can, which may be a blessing and a curse.

It may have taken over a thousand years, but the stars finally aligned and the two are both alive, the same age, and living in the same area, which is great news for Daniel. Now, he just has to try and make Lucy remember him, even though deep down she already does.

The story is incredibly interesting and even though I didn’t love the ending, I understood why it ended the way it did. Some endings are just better left open to the imagination.

The bottom line is, I loved the story and and highly recommend it to you! I hope you love it as much as I did and if you do read this book, I’d be interested in hearing what your thoughts were about the ending.
